Ali's Funny Fridge Magnets Minimize

You will need:

  • Tin foil
  • Tissue paper
  • Some paint
  • Glue
  • Wool
  • A black pen
  • Googly eyes and a magnet (you can get these from an arts and crafts shop)

1. Scrunch up some tin foil in to a ball shape. Then push down on it so you get a flat bottom. Now roll three small balls of tin foil, one for a nose and two for the ears. Then glue them on using the glue stick.

2. Now cover everything in a thick layer of gloopy glue and some ripped up pieces of tissue paper. Make sure you cover all of the foil on the front and the back and then leave it to dry. Then paint the funny face.

3. To make the hair, cut the wool in to small pieces. Be careful though because scissors are sharp.

4. Now you need to add detail to the face using the black pen. Then stick the magnet to the back of the face. Leave it to dry.

Dawn's Box Suitcase Minimize

For the Box Suitcase, you will need:

  • A cardboard cereal box
  • PVA glue
  • Tissue paper
  • Some paint
  • Sticky tape
  • Spongy kitchen cloths
  • A black pen
  • A silver pen
  • A pencil
  • Sticky material fastners (you can get this from an arts and crafts shop)

1. Take the cardboard cereal box and make a hole in each corner using a pencil. You will need to ask an adult to help you with this as it's a bit tricky. Now use the holes to help you cut three lines so you end up with a flap that opens. Be careful as scissors are sharp.

 2. To make the handles of the suitcase take the two spongy kitchen cloths and cut them into two strips.

3. Now stick the two straps to the suitcase with some sticky tape but leave one strap unstuck as this will be where you open the suitcase.

4. With the end of the strap that is not stuck down stick one of the sticky fastners to it. Stick the other sticky fastner to the box and make sure they meet up and the box closes.

5. Now you need to cover the suitcase in a layer of tissue paper and a special gloopy mixture that's made up of half gloopy glue and half water. Then stick ripped up tissue paper to the suitcase. Leave to dry.

 6. Then paint the suitcase any colour you like. You could paint brown squares on the corners and brown on the strap and the handle.

7. Once the paint is dry add detail to the suitcase using the black and silver pens.

Claire's Glittery Boxes Minimize

You will need:

  • A round box with a lid
  • A brush
  • Some glitter
  • Some paint and gloopy glue
  • Shiny gems and stars (you can get these from an arts and crafts shop)

1. Put your round box in the middle of an old tray or on a mat. Using the brush paint on the gloopy mixture. (To make the gloopy mixture mix half paint and half glue.)

2. Whilst the gloopy mixture is still wet stick the gems and stars on to the box.

3. Now sprinkle some glitter over the box and roll the edges in it. Then give the box a little shake so any loose glitter falls off

Claire's tip: Make all different glittery boxes using your favourite colours!
